My husband, like a lot of you guys said yourselves last week, told me he thought this was a novice mistake, not one that a seasoned professor would make. 

I agree, in hindsight, but it's also something that needed to happen. 

What do you guys think? When can emotion trump logic, when logic is the best choice?
